About our equipments

Company has portable equipment for carrying out gauging during voyages, repair and anchorages of vessels.

 

The portable ultrasonic thickness meters (further as "PUTM") used by specialist of our company are a product of well-known manufacturers and correspond to International standards.

 

The PUTM functionate by means of ultrasonic pulse echo and multiple echoes.

 

The used instruments are calibrated and kept in accordance with "Operating manual" of manufacturer and "Instruction in Quality System".

 

Records about maintenance and calibration of PUTM are registered in "Calibration logbook of Equipment".

Equipment has “Pattern Approval Certificate of Measuring Instruments” issued by Russian State Bureau of Standardization and Metrology & “Type Approval Certificate” issued by Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.

Description of equipment

 

Thickness gauge A1208 is intended for gauging the thickness of walls of pipes, boilers, vessels, sheet products, casting, shel and other products from black and non-ferrous metals. Surfaces of products can be both smooth, and coarse, corroded with roughness up to Rz160 and the radius of curvature from 3 mm.

A1208 can be applied in the chemical, food, oil-and-gas industry, in shipbuilding and ship repair, thermal and atomic-power engineering, on pipe-rolling, machine-building and transport agencies, in a municipal services.

 

The device is designed for using the single and double ultrasonic probes with working frequencies 2,5; 5 and 10 MHz domestic and foreign manufacture.

 

Due to the system of adaptation to the surface of the product (the patent of the Russian Federation № 2082160), analyzing interference from surface waves, it is possible to carry out measurements of the thickness of walls of corroded pipes of small diameter and flat products with smooth surfaces by one ultrasonic probe without any tunings, except for installation the velocities of the ultrasound.
